Job summary

5V Tech in the Netherlands is seeking an Electronics Development Engineer to lead hardware design for smart climate control products. You will own schematic creation, PCB layouts and RF-oriented hardware, collaborating with systems, software and production teams to deliver robust prototypes and certified solutions.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering (or Physics) and strong electronics background, with experience in RF and wireless protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar.
• Solid background in electronics development.
• Exposure to wireless protocols (868MHz, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi or NB-IoT).
• Structured, analytical approach with data comfort.
• RF design and testing experience.
• Familiarity with DFSS design methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Create schematics and PCB layouts spanning power, digital, RF and antenna design.
• Turning system level requirements into hardware that's robust and dependable in the field.
• Working hands on with test engineers to build and validate prototypes, including certification work.
• Getting to the root of design, production and field issues through structured analysis.
• Using data and test findings to continuously improve designs.
• Working cross functionally with systems, software and production teams.
• Keeping cost and manufacturability front of mind throughout the design process.

Salary range €40,000 - €52,000 including 13th month and 8% holiday allowance

5V Tech are working with an established leader in embedded electronics, specialising in smart climate control hardware for residential buildings. They're known for their innovation, people first culture and continuous heavily investment in R&D, with production handled in house.

They are now looking for an Electronics Development Engineer to join their hardware team, working on both new product builds and improvements to existing technology.

In this role, you will bring a structured, analytical mindset to solving complex electronics challenges, with real ownership over how designs evolve.

Day to day:
