Job summary

COFCO International is seeking a Junior Operations Officer to coordinate barge logistics from the Port of Rotterdam to inland destinations and manage end-to-end execution of contracts, invoicing, and related administration. You will work closely with trading desks in a fast-paced commodity environment.

The role requires excellent communication with international contacts, strong Dutch/English skills, and familiarity with MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with internal and external parties
• Dutch and English proficiency (written and spoken)
• Basic knowledge of French and German
• MS Word and MS Excel proficiency
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Strong mathematical computation skills

Responsibilities

• Arrange all barge logistics from the Port of Rotterdam to inland destinations
• Maintain control over execution until payments and admin are completed
• Liaise with contractual counterparts, freight forwarders, ship agents, terminal operators and surveyors
• Ensure post-trading items align with contract terms such as laytime and costings
• Monitor budget vs actual costings
