Job summary

Ultimo Group in the Netherlands seeks an Assistant Controller to join our international Accounting & Control team. You will contribute to financial administration, closings, reporting, treasury and audits, gaining a broad understanding of Finance within a 500-strong software organisation with global activity.

Qualifications

• Has completed an MBO+/HBO-level degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a comparable field.
• Has gained some practical experience in Finance or Accountancy through an internship, graduation project or first job.
• Works accurately and in a structured way and is interested in understanding what is behind the numbers.
• Has strong analytical skills and enjoys investigating and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
• Review and process financial data.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Identify discrepancies in the financial administration and follow up.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations between international entities.
• Help automate financial processes and strengthen internal controls.
