The Job

We are looking for motivated Pastry Chefs who are eager to learn from our amazing Asian Fusion kitchen with our Specialist Pastry Chefs! You will learn how to prepare the necessary dessert ingredients for your team members in order to create the signature desserts of IZAKAYA. The ideal candidate is a team player, is interested in working in an Asian Fusion restaurant and can be a true ambassador for the IZAKAYA brand. You will work closely with the chefs and all other staff to ensure that all staff members have a good knowledge of the presentation, methods and recipes.

Responsibilities

To ensure all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time
To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
To deputize in the Pastry sous chef’s absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to do so
To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the sous chef or head chef
To strive to study relevant subjects in preparation for future advancement
