Job summary

DENS BV in Helmond, the Netherlands, is looking for an IT Support specialist who can handle day-to-day IT issues and help improve our workspace tech. You will be the first contact for laptops, accounts, and workstation setups, and you will troubleshoot hardware, software, or network problems while explaining clearly to colleagues.

This role combines support, small projects, and workspace management in one position, with room to grow into systems administration or IT projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server OS, virtualization and Microsoft 365 management.
• Basic networking knowledge including switching, routing and firewalls.
• Service-minded and patient: able to explain to non-technical colleagues.

What will you do?

• Day-to-day IT support — From a laptop that will not boot to a question about an application: you are the first point of contact and make sure people can get on with their work.
• Troubleshooting — You find out where things actually go wrong in hardware, software or the network, fix it, and explain in plain language what happened.
• Preparing IT projects — New systems, migrations or expansions: you help prepare them, take part in the rollout and think along about the technical solution.
• Setting up hardware and workspaces — You prepare laptops, accounts and workstations so a new colleague has everything they need to start on day one.

Who are you?

• Vocational level in IT, systems administration or similar
• Experience with Windows (Server) operating systems, virtualization and Microsoft 365 management
• Basic knowledge of networks such as switching, routing and firewalls
• Service-minded and patient: you explain things just as easily to an engineer as to a colleague who is less technical
• Independent and organised — you pick up tickets, keep an overview and let nothing slip
• Hands-on: setting up a workstation or running a cable is no problem for you
• Fluent in both Dutch and English — good spoken command of both languages is a requirement
