Job summary

Fortaegis Technologies is seeking an experienced IT manager to define and drive our global IT strategy across multiple international locations in a dynamic, security-focused environment. The role blends strategic ownership with hands-on project delivery, aligning IT with business growth and overseeing external providers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT management or senior IT roles with a track record of delivering complex projects.
• Experience managing external IT vendors or MSPs.
• Strong understanding of cloud, networking, security, and IT infrastructure.
• Experience scaling IT in a multi-office or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Excellent communication, prioritization, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the global IT strategy and roadmap.
• Translate business needs into scalable IT solutions and standards, acting as the internal client toward the IT service provider.
• Oversee global IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.
• Maintain IT governance, policies, change management, and quality standards.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, forecasts, and vendor contracts.
• Manage external IT service providers and MSPs.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of IT projects and programs from initiation through closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, analysts, vendors, and external partners.
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Drive stakeholder communication — status reporting, steering updates, and escalations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of IT and project delivery processes, templates, and methodologies.

This role combines strategic ownership of IT with hands‑on project delivery: aligning IT with business growth, managing external IT service providers responsible for day‑to‑day operations, and leading complex, cross‑functional IT & technology projects — from infrastructure upgrades , migrations to office setups , system implementations , engineering development— ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field

• 8+ years of experience in IT management or senior IT roles, with a track record of delivering complex projects

• Experience managing external IT vendors or MSPs
• Strong understanding of cloud, networking, security, and IT infrastructure
• Experience scaling IT in a multi‑office or international environment
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid)
• Excellent communication, prioritization, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Structured and strategic mindset with a hands‑on attitude when needed
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification
• Experience with infrastructure, cloud migration, ERP, or enterprise software projects
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management practices
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Smartsheet)
