Job summary

SkyNRG is seeking a Network Engineer (IT/OT) to design, build, and operate the network architecture for our Amsterdam HQ, initial production site, and future facilities. The role covers routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, IT/OT segmentation, and secure remote access.

You will work closely with IT, security, plant engineering, and automation partners to implement Nozomi Networks for OT visibility and integrate logs into Microsoft Sentinel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with hands-on firewall management.
• Strong experience with Fortinet FortiGate or Palo Alto firewalls, willing to master the other.
• Solid routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and security best practices.
• Experience with OT/ICS environments, including IEC 62443 concepts.
• Knowledge of IT/OT segmentation and Purdue Model; industrial DMZ design.
• Experience with OT monitoring platforms (Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos).
• Willingness to travel to production sites; office + plant environments.
• Professional English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate IT and OT network infrastructure across HQ and production sites.
• Manage Fortinet and Palo Alto firewall environments, including segmentation and DMZs.
• Operate Cisco Catalyst switching and Meraki wireless at sites and HQ.
• Implement secure remote access and zero-trust capabilities.
• Deploy Nozomi Networks for OT visibility and integrate logs into SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel).
• Support incident response with security teams and contribute to NIS2 compliance.
