Job summary

Swisscom is offering a 6-month IT internship in the Netherlands starting February 2027, based in Rotterdam. You will work in agile teams on backend, cloud or full‑stack tasks, contributing to a real digital transformation project.

The program emphasizes hands‑on learning, Scrum/SAFe practices, and collaboration across Switzerland, Rotterdam and Riga. Must‑haves include CI/CD, Git and Python, with additional exposure to AWS, TypeScript, Angular or Java as nice-to-have options.

Qualifications

• Final year student in CS/Informatica in the Netherlands.
• Eligible for a 6-month internship starting Feb 2027 with NUFFIC agreement for non-EU students.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Jira for newly assigned defects with an autonomous AI agent.
• Analyze root cause using product and architecture context.
• Attempt automated fixes by opening a merge request in GitLab.
• Document findings and reasoning in the Jira ticket to close the loop.

About the Internship Project:

Towards Autonomous Code Repair: Agentic AI for Bug Analysis and Resolution

An autonomous AI agent continuously monitors Jira for newly assigned defects. Upon detection, it leverages product and architecture context to analyse the root cause, then attempts an automated fix by opening a merge request in GitLab. Finally, it documents its findings and reasoning directly in the Jira ticket — closing the loop between bug discovery, code repair, and team communication with minimal human intervention.

Who are you?

• You are a student enrolled in the last year of your HBO or University program in the field of Computer Science, Informatica, or any other similar field.
• You live in the Netherlands.
• You are willing to contribute to an international team and you have an agile mindset.
• You are curious and responsible.
• You have a good level of English; any other language is a plus.
• Please note that for non-EU students, it is necessary to provide the NUFFIC Agreement for the 6-month internship from your university in order to be eligible.
