Job summary

Swisscom is seeking an IT intern to join a cloud‑native DevOps platform project in Rotterdam. You will gain hands‑on experience in automation, reliability, and platform tooling within an international team.

The internship runs for six months starting 1 February 2027, with an agile Scrum/SAFe workflow and exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices. English proficiency is required; NUFFIC agreement may be necessary for non‑EU students.

Qualifications

• Must be a student in the last year of an HBO or University program in Computer Science, Informatica, or related field.
• Based in the Netherlands / Rotterdam area, and able to work in an international DevOps environment.
• Good level of English; other languages are a plus. NUFFIC agreement required for non-EU students.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to automation, reliability, and operational tooling around Kubernetes and microservices.
• Work in agile teams using Scrum/SAFe and participate in DevOps practices.
• Support production environments and platform engineering initiatives.

About The Internship Project

Join an international DevOps platform team working on cloud‑native systems used by multiple engineering teams. You’ll contribute to automation, reliability, and operational tooling around Kubernetes, microservices, and DevOps practices. The project involves real production environments, platform engineering, and close collaboration with experienced DevOps and SRE engineers. Perfect for interns curious about large‑scale systems, automation, and reliability.

Who are you?

• You are a student enrolled in the last year of your HBO or University program in the field of Computer Science, Informatica, or any other similar field.

Please note that for non‑EU students, it is necessary to provide the NUFFIC Agreement for the 6‑month internship from your university in order to be eligible.
