Job summary

Swisscom AG is offering an IT Internship in Rotterdam focusing on AI-assisted lab operations. You will work on real projects, collaborate with an international team and gain hands-on experience in backend, cloud or full-stack development.

The internship runs for 6 months starting 1st February 2027. It includes an 810 € gross monthly allowance, IT equipment, agile coaching, and training opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a student in the last year of an HBO or University program in Computer Science, Informatica, or similar field.
• Live in the Netherlands.
• Willing to contribute to an international team and you have an agile mindset.
• Good level of English; other languages are a plus.
• NUFFIC Agreement for non-EU students required for 6-month internship.

Responsibilities

• Work on AI assisted lab operations project using AI, APIs and scripting.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with Scrum/SAFe practices.
• Help deploy, maintain and document networking lab environments.

About the Internship Project:

AI assisted lab operations (AI, API, Scripting, Routing/Switching)

This internship project investigates how AI tools, APIs, and automation scripting can accelerate the deployment, maintenance, and documentation of networking laboratory environments. The project will explore AI‑assisted configuration generation, automated infrastructure management through APIs, and scripting solutions for routing and switching environments. The objective is to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance documentation quality in modern IT labs.

• You are a student enrolled in the last year of your HBO or University program in the field of Computer Science, Informatica, or any other similar field.

  Please note that for non-EU students, it is necessary to provide the NUFFIC Agreement for the 6-month internship from your university in order to be eligible.
