Job summary

Tata Steel Netherlands zoekt een IT Application Consultant binnen de Hire-to-Retire (H2R) value stream. U werkt nauw samen met HR-stakeholders en ICT-teams om HR-applicaties stabiel te houden en te verbeteren, van werving tot pensionering.

De rol vereist 3–5 jaar ervaring in applicatiebeheer binnen een Agile-omgeving, sterke analyse en uitstekende communicatie. Relevante SAP SuccessFactors- en Identity Management-ervaring is een pluspunt.

Qualifications

Bachelor HBO in Information Technology, Business Administration, HRIS, or related field.
3–5 jaar ervaring in application management, functionele ondersteuning of vergelijkbare IT-rol.
Ervaring met samenwerking met stakeholders en externe service providers.
Kennis van lifecycle management en change processen.
Ervaring met Agile-omgevingen.
Sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
Uitstekende communicatie en stakeholdermanagement.
Bij voorkeur Nederlands (niet verplicht).

Responsibilities

Zorg voor bedrijfscontinuïteit van HR-applicaties en -processen.
Eerste aanspreekpunt bij functionele applicatieproblemen, incidents en serviceverzoeken.
Analyseer issues met leveranciers en implementeer duurzame oplossingen.
Verzamel en vertaal business-behoeften naar IT-oplossingen.
Ondersteun doorontwikkeling van applicaties en digitale diensten.
Beheer en optimaliseer integraties en dataflow tussen HR-applicaties.

You work closely with HR stakeholders, key users, Functional Administrators, suppliers, and development teams to ensure applications remain stable, secure, and aligned with business needs. In this dynamic role, you act as the link between business and IT, helping to translate business requirements into effective digital solutions. By improving applications, processes, and integrations, you contribute to a reliable and user-friendly HR landscape that supports thousands of employees across Tata Steel.

Ensure business continuity. You are responsible for the availability, stability, and performance of business-critical HR applications supporting the employee lifecycle.
Be the first point of contact. You support users with functional application issues, incidents, and service requests, ensuring a reliable and effective service.
Resolve application incidents. Working with vendors and support partners, you analyse issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
Translate business needs into IT solutions. You collaborate with HR stakeholders and key users to gather requirements and support the delivery of functional improvements.
Drive application enhancements. You support the continuous improvement of applications and digital services, ensuring they continue to meet evolving business needs.
Manage system integrations. You monitor and improve interfaces and data flows between HR applications and related systems while identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation.

A Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resource Information Systems, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in application management, functional support, or a comparable IT role.
Experience working with business stakeholders and external service providers.
Knowledge of application lifecycle management and change processes.
Experience working within Agile environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferably Dutch language skills, although this is not mandatory.

Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

HR applications and employee lifecycle processes.
Absence management, payroll, and workforce management solutions.
SAP SuccessFactors, Identity Management solutions, and HR system integrations.
