Job summary

Tata Steel Nederland is seeking an IT Application Consultant within the Hire-to-Retire value stream to support and improve HR systems across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement. You will collaborate with HR stakeholders, functional administrators, suppliers, and development teams to ensure applications stay stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

You translate requirements into practical digital HR solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in IT / Business / HRIS or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in application management, functional support, or similar IT role.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and external service providers.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management and change processes.
• Experience working within Agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Dutch language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business continuity and maintain availability, stability, and performance of HR applications.
• Be the first point of contact for users with functional application issues, incidents, and service requests.
• Resolve application incidents with vendors and support partners, identifying root causes.
• Translate business needs into IT solutions by gathering requirements with HR stakeholders.
• Drive application enhancements and continuous improvement of HR digital services.
• Manage system integrations and optimize data flows between HR applications and related systems.
