A2G Consulting BV (A2G Technologies) in Amsterdam, Netherlands, seeks an experienced IBM ISIM/ISAM Engineer at L3 to design, implement, support and optimize enterprise IAM solutions.

The role covers architecture, SSO, MFA, provisioning, identity lifecycle management, high availability, and incident handling across complex IAM environments; hybrid work model with 2 days WFH and 3 days in office.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced IBM ISIM/ISAM Engineer - L3 to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM ISIM/ISAM architecture and operations, IAM design, SSO, MFA, provisioning, access lifecycle management, security protocols, infrastructure, high availability, and clustering.

• Design and architect enterprise IAM solutions using IBM ISIM and ISAM.
• Develop IAM architecture blueprints aligned with business and security requirements.
• Define technical solution approaches, implementation strategies, and delivery plans.
• Review existing IAM environments and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure IAM solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available.
• Lead technical discussions and client workshops related to IAM architecture and implementation.

Provisioning & Access Lifecycle

• Design and implement identity provisioning and deprovisioning solutions.
• Configure and support provisioning workflows and access entitlements.
• Manage end-to-end identity and access lifecycle processes.
• Integrate IAM solutions with enterprise applications, directories, and other identity repositories.
• Troubleshoot complex provisioning and workflow-related issues.
• Ensure appropriate access controls and entitlement management are implemented.
• Design and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
• Configure and support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Integrate authentication mechanisms with enterprise applications and identity platforms.
• Troubleshoot authentication and federation issues.
• Work with security protocols such as SAML and OIDC.

L3 Production Support

• Handle complex L3 IAM incidents and technical escalations.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Troubleshoot application integration, authentication, provisioning, and infrastructure issues.
• Support critical production environments and minimize service disruption.
• Provide technical guidance to L1/L2 support teams when required.

Infrastructure, HA & Resilience

• Design and maintain highly available IAM environments.
• Work with clustering, load balancing, redundancy, and failover configurations.
• Ensure IAM platforms meet enterprise availability and resilience requirements.
• Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing.
• Monitor platform health and identify potential performance or availability issues.

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure IAM solutions comply with enterprise security policies and standards.
• Support audits, compliance assessments, and governance activities.
• Identify security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure IAM implementations follow security best practices and access governance principles.

Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

• Lead technical discussions and solution design activities.
• Mentor junior IAM engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 7-10 years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in IAM.
• Strong experience in IBM ISIM/ISAM environments.
• IBM IAM / Security certifications are an advantage.

IBM IAM

• Strong hands‑on experience with IBM ISIM (IBM Security Identity Manager).
• Strong experience with IBM ISAM (IBM Security Access Manager).
• Good understanding of IBM IAM architecture, components, configuration, and operations.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise‑scale IBM IAM environments.

IAM & Security

• Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts and architecture.
• Experience with IAM design, provisioning, access management, and identity lifecycle management.
• Strong experience with SSO and MFA.
• Knowledge of authentication and federation technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with SAML and OIDC.
• Strong understanding of ISIM provisioning workflows.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting IAM workflows.
• Experience with access entitlements and identity lifecycle processes.
• Experience integrating IAM platforms with enterprise applications and directories.

Infrastructure

• Experience with high availability, clustering, load balancing, and failover.
• Understanding of IAM infrastructure architecture and enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of HA and DR strategies for IAM platforms.

L3 Support

• Proven experience handling complex L3 IAM incidents.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve critical production issues.
