Job summary

A2G Consulting BV (A2G Technologies) is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our technology team in Amsterdam. The role combines Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and production support in a critical enterprise environment, with a hybrid work setup (2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office).

Responsibilities include database optimization, 24x7 production support, monitoring, CI/CD automation, and dashboards with Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience as Oracle DBA.
• Good knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience with 24x7 production support and incident management.
• Very good knowledge of Tibco BW 5.x and Tibco EMS.
• Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and Ansible.
• Experience with automated deployment on container and non-container platforms.
• Strong scripting in Bash/Unix; familiar with Agile/Scrum/Kanban.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to join a dynamic technology team in Amsterdam.

This role combines Oracle database administration, performance tuning, production support, monitoring, automation, and DevOps in a critical enterprise environment.

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases.
• Analyze database and application performance and provide tuning recommendations.
• Ensure database availability, security, integrity, and performance.
• Support 24x7 production environments and participate in standby/on-call activities.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop proactive/preventive monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Create dashboards using Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
• Support CI/CD and automated deployments across containerized and non-containerized platforms.
• Work with Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and Ansible.
• Support and troubleshoot Tibco BW 5.x and Tibco EMS environments.

• Ensure security, privacy, risk, and compliance requirements are followed.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Good knowledge of relational databases.
• Strong experience in database and application performance tuning.
• Experience with 24x7 production support and incident management.
• Very good knowledge of Tibco BW 5.x and Tibco EMS.
• Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and Ansible.
• Experience with automated deployment on container and non-container platforms.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash/Unix or a similar scripting language.
• Basic understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Ability and willingness to participate in standby/on-call activities.

Nice to Have

• Strong Oracle experience in large enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Test Automation tools.
• Experience with Parasoft products.
• Experience in banking or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of Risk & Compliance.
• Experience with container technologies and modern deployment platforms.
