Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austria is seeking a student to support the System Validation team part-time while pursuing studies. The role focuses on maintaining and expanding the NFC/UWB test environment and automating test execution with result reporting.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in a computer science or engineering program, with Python or scripting skills and a willingness to learn C. English proficiency is required and about 20 hours per week over at least six months.

Qualifications

  • Ongoing university studies (ideally end of Bachelor's, beginning of Master's) in Computer Science, Information and Computer Engineering, Telematics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar
  • Knowledge of Python and/or other scripting languages
  • Knowledge of C programming language is a benefit
  • Experience in test automation & management is a benefit
  • Usage of laboratory equipment like oscilloscope, logic analyzer is a benefit
  • Self-driven and proactive working style
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Availability approximately 20 hours per week (on average), duration over 6 months

Job description

We are looking for a student in the greater area of Graz who would like to support our System Validation team part-time, next to their studies.

This team is responsible for the verification of our NXP products and their features from a customer system point of view. This requires a test environment which allows automated test execution and test result collection.

In this student position, you will be able to participate in the maintenance of the test environment and to gain product know-how in the area of NFC (near field communication) and UWB (ultra-wide band) systems.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and extend NFC/UWB system test environment
  • Automate test execution and result reporting
Your Profile:
  • ongoing university studies (ideally end of Bachelor's, beginning of Master's degree) in Computer Science, Information and Computer Engineering, Telematics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800,- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
