Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a motivated student for a 9–12 month internship/thesis in the Innovation team in the Netherlands. You will develop algorithms in signal processing and ML for autonomous driving and robotics, working with an international team and contributing to real hardware validation.

The role emphasizes data collection, validation, and dissemination of results, with opportunities for growth into NXP’s Young Professional Talent Pool.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master of Science program in a relevant field
  • Strong Python programming and ML model development experience
  • Familiarity with hardware is a plus
  • Familiarity with Nvidia Sim and ROS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills (presentations, writing)

Responsibilities

  • Develop new algorithms (signal processing/ML) for object detection and navigation in autonomous driving and robotics
  • Collaborate with an international team of scientists and engineers
  • Support data collection needed for algorithm validation
  • Validate methods in simulation platforms and/or real hardware prototypes
  • Disseminate scientific results in top-tier publications
