Job summary

Gisou by Negin Mirsalehi is offering an onsite Product Development Internship in Amsterdam to support the journey from concept to launch. You’ll contribute to projects that blend creativity, research and operations while gaining hands-on experience shaping the future of our portfolio.

You will be part of a fast-growing beauty company, collaborating with PD and other teams to refine formulas, packaging, testing and competitive analysis.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support product development team in creation and launch activities (formula, packaging, testing).
• Assist with day-to-day operational tasks (meetings prep, package reception, transmission & tracking, product boards/mockups, orders management).
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative market research (trends, rankings, competitor products, consumer preferences).
• Create/update PowerPoint, Excel and Word decks for meetings.
• Track and follow up on new competitive haircare and skincare products.
• Assist with evaluating product submissions (sample prep, report analysis, follow-up).
• Organise regular product testing with PD team.
• Coordinate with coordinators & managers to ensure product performance, quality and safety.
• Collaborate with PD team to brainstorm new product ideas based on market trends and brand vision.

About The Role

As a Product Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to support the team throughout the journey of bringing new products to life. From concept to launch, you’ll contribute to projects that combine creativity, research, and operations, while gaining insight into how innovative beauty products are developed. This role offers hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment where your ideas and attention to detail help shape the future of our portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Help & support the product development team in all aspects of creation and launch (formula, packaging, testing, etc).
• Help & support on day-to-day (& longer term) operational tasks (meetings preparation, package reception, transmission & tracking, product boards/mockup creation, product orders management, etc).
• Examine, study & analyse qualitative and quantitative market research (trends, rankings, competitor products, and consumer preferences).
• Create & update Powerpoint, Excel and word decks for internal and external meetings.
• Track, evaluate & follow-up on all new competitive haircare and skincare products.
• Assist with evaluating product submissions (sample preparation, report analysis, follow-up, etc).
• Organise & conduct regular product testing and assessment along with PD.
• Coordinators & Managers to ensure product performance, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate & brainstorm with the PD team (and others if needed) to generate share new product ideas based on market trends, customer feedback, and brand vision.

Skills & Qualifications

• You are following an Business education course with a focus on Marketing / Product Development.
• Strong interest in the beauty industry.
• Passionate about cosmetics & social media savvy.
• You are proactive, flexible and take responsibility for your tasks, hands on deck mindset needed!
• You can work under pressure and work towards deadlines.
• You speak and write fluently in English.

Requirements

• Available to complete the Internship Programme from Mon 1st Feb 2027 - Wed 4th Aug 2027.
• You must be looking for a FULL-TIME & ONSITE internship for 6 months.
• You must have an Internship contract from your School / University and the internship must be integrated into your program of study.
• Available for 5 days per week, from which 4 days on-site in the Amsterdam office.
• Based in Amsterdam or within a reasonable commuting distance of the Amsterdam office.
