Job summary

The Hoxton, Lloyd is seeking a People & Culture Intern in Amsterdam to support day-to-day people operations and help create a great experience for our team, from day one to last. You will assist recruitment, onboarding, records maintenance and internal communications in a fast-growing hospitality group.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management or HR, fluent in English (Dutch a plus), with strong MS Office skills and a proactive, discreet approach to confidential

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Hospitality Management or HR
• Available for a 5-6 month internship starting January 2027
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Dutch is a strong plus
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Well organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks
• Interest in recruitment and employee experience
• Discreet handling of confidential information
• People person who helps others feel welcome
• Team player with low ego

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial calls and interview planning.
• Post vacancies on careers page and recruitment platforms to help find the right people.
• Coordinate onboarding, welcome new team members, organise coffee chats and help them feel at home from day one.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems, set up accounts and support admin processes.
• Track training completion and assist with organising training sessions and development activities.
• Organise team events, celebrations and engagement initiatives to bring the team together.
• Support internal communication, keeping the team informed about updates and opportunities.
• Assist with everyday P&C administration, from scanning and filing to ordering business cards.
• Handle employee information with care and confidentiality.
• Be a go-to person for the team and help colleagues run smoothly behind the scenes.

As a People & Culture Intern, you’ll work closely with our People & Culture Manager, supporting the day-to-day people operations and helping create a great experience for our team, from their first day to their last.

What you'll do...

• Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial candidate calls and interview planning.

What we're looking for...

• Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related field.
• Available for a 5-6 month internship, ideally starting in January 2027.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Dutch is a strong plus.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and quick to pick up new systems.
• Well organised, proactive and able to keep a few plates spinning at once.
• Interested in recruitment, employee experience and what makes a team thrive.
• Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential employee information.
• A natural people person who communicates easily, enjoys helping others and knows how to make people feel welcome.
