The Hoxton Amsterdam is seeking a Front Office Intern to warmly welcome guests and support daily operations in a historic, design-forward setting. You’ll assist with arrivals, departures and guest requests, while collaborating with teams to keep operations smooth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Be the first face guests meet, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Handle guest arrivals and departures with accurate billing.
• Coordinate with teams to manage busy periods and overbooking levels.
• Answer phones, handle requests, and offer local recommendations.
• Act as the hotel gatekeeper and assist with admin tasks as needed.

With 136 bedrooms, vibrant public spaces and a strong connection to the neighbourhood, our hotel is a place where guests and locals come together. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Front Office Intern to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our Front Office. Reporting to our Front Office Manager, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests meet, helping create a warm welcome and a memorable experience from arrival to departure. This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in hotel operations, guest relations and the little details that make a stay at The Hoxton feel different.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

• You're the first face our guests see, and you have your own way of treating them as individuals, making them feel welcome and their stay special - the Hox way
• Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises
• Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy, and help our Front Office Manager with any overbooking levels
• Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations to the best show to see and the latest pop‑up restaurant to try in the area - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to
• You’re our gatekeeper for the hotel. You know who’s who and what’s what.
• And yes, there’s a little admin… Some expenses, some lists and a stationary order or two. But let’s face it, we know you love that!

Qualifications

• Previous hotel (or similar) experience is great, but it's not a must-have for us - if you're eager to learn we can teach you what you need to know

• Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night
• You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience

• You are available for at least 6 months.
