Job summary

Hunkemöller invites motivated interns to join our cyber security team for a 5-month program starting February 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in incident management and governance, risk assessment, and security operations within a retail environment.

You will be mentored, work with cross-functional teams, and have access to our internship benefits including a buddy, WFH options, and a staff discount.

Qualifications

• For this internship, you are available for 5 months starting February 2027.
• You must be enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship.
• Eligibility includes EU citizenship, or Family/Partner visa, or non-EU student meeting Nuffic requirements.
• Note: IND sponsorship salary minimum applies to some entry-level positions.

What will you do?

• Help maintain and improve Hunkemöller's Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with recognized standards and best practices.
• Support cyber security risk management by identifying, assessing, and tracking risks.
• Document security processes, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and auditable ways of working.
• Assist with security assessments of vendors, tools, and internal systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support cyber security objectives.
• Work with our managed security providers to help keep Hunkemöller secure.

About you

• Passionate about cyber security, with a strong interest in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
• Familiar with IT networks and infrastructure, including how systems, identities, and data interact.
• Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing your own work.
• Eager to learn and build a career in cyber security.
• Currently enrolled in an HBO, Bachelor's, or Master's program in cyber security or a related field, with at least the first semesters completed.

Eligibility Criteria

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2027. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:

• You are an EU citizen,
• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third‑party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
