Job summary

Hunkemöller offers an internship in cyber security focusing on governance, risk and compliance. You will contribute to maintaining the ISMS, supporting risk management, and documenting security processes. You will gain hands-on experience with incident response, threat analysis and collaboration with security providers.

You will work 3 days per week from home and 2 days on site, with a competitive internship allowance and travel support to help you grow in the retail cybersecurity field.

What will you do?

• Help maintain and improve Hunkemöller's Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with recognized standards and best practices.


• Support cyber security risk management by identifying, assessing, and tracking risks.


• Document security processes, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and auditable ways of working.


• Assist with security assessments of vendors, tools, and internal systems.


• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support cyber security objectives.


• Work with our managed security providers to help keep Hunkemöller secure.

About you

• Passionate about cyber security, with a strong interest in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).


• Familiar with IT networks and infrastructure, including how systems, identities, and data interact.


• Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing your own work.


• Eager to learn and build a career in cyber security.


• Currently enrolled in an HBO, Bachelor's, or Master's program in cyber security or a related field, with at least the first semesters completed.

• Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).


• Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.


• Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.

Eligibility Criteria

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2027. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:

• You are an EU citizen,


• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or


• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
