Job summary

Hunkemöller’s Best Internship in Retail (BIIR) program offers 5-month internships in Hilversum, Netherlands, starting in the BIIR cohort with 50+ fellow interns. The role focuses on creating content for internal channels, supporting global staff communications, and organizing engaging activations.

You will work with internal stakeholders, write in a lively Tone of Voice, and stay proactive and precise to meet deadlines. Fluency in English and Dutch is required, with 40 hours per week commitment.

YOUR TASKS

• Produce visual and written content for all internal communication channels, including our internal app
• Support with the marketing campaigns roll-out and sales information to all staff globally
• Develop and organise interactive activations and events for our internal audience

• You have a hands-on mentality and are not afraid to work with different internal stakeholders
• You can be creative and can write in a fun and attractive Tone of Voice
• Your way of working can be described as proactive and precise whilst delivering your workload on time
• You know, or want to learn, how to set priorities
• Fluent in both English and Dutch
• Interest in the retail industry
• You’re available for 40 hours/week to work

• Work From Home (WFH) Policy: For 40-hour internships, you are allowed to work from home up to 2 days per week, depending on the nature of your role. During onboarding, WFH days may vary to better support your learning and training.
• Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).
• Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.
• Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.

Eligibility Criteria

For This Internship, You Need To Be Available For 5 Months Starting In September 2026. Please Note That Your Application Will Only Be Considered If You Are Enrolled At a School Or University For The Full Duration Of The Internship. Additionally, To Comply With Dutch Law, One Of The Following Must Apply

• You are an EU citizen,
• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
