Job summary

HousingAnywhere Group is offering a Finance Operations Intern position at our Rotterdam HQ. Join the Finance Operations Team to manage payments, ensure timely, compliant processing, and collaborate with Customer Care and Sales to resolve Order-to-Cash issues.

This 6-month internship starts Oct 1 and pays €700 per month. You will be part of a small, dedicated team of 3, working both independently and with colleagues across Europe.

Qualifications

• You speak English at an above-average level.
• French is a big plus.
• Enrolled in a business, economics, finance, or related program.
• Hands-on problem solver with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work well in teams and independently, with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing accurate, timely, and compliant payments to customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Care and Sales to resolve Order-to-Cash issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries and act as mediator for timely solutions.
• Manage daily operational tasks and meet SLAs.
• Contribute ideas to improve internal processes and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry regulations to ensure compliance.

Your team

You will join the Finance department and be part of the Finance Operations Team, a dedicated and hard-working (and fun) team of 3 members who report to the Group Finance Operations & Risk Lead.

The team plays a crucial role in managing our customers' financial transactions from start to finish. Their meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach and efficiency contribute to maintaining positive relationships with our customers and ensuring the overall financial health of the company.

Your role and impact

• Assist in managing accurate, timely, and compliant payments to customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Care and Sales to resolve issues within the Order-to-Cash process and act as a mediator to ensure fair and timely solutions.
• Ownership of responding to our customer inquiries.
• Manage daily operational tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting SLAs.
• Contribute ideas to improve and streamline internal processes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance.

Your profile

• You speak English at an above-average level, French is a big plus.
• You are enrolled in a business, economics, finance, or related academic program, or you demonstrate a clear interest in payment operations and the regulatory framework that governs compliance.
• You are someone capable of taking on new challenges.
• You are a hands-on problem solver.
• You consider yourself to be someone who can work effectively on teams and simultaneously work independently, take initiative, and go the extra mile.
• You can structure your work following the team's checklists and develop your own to-do lists. Paying attention to details is very important to you.
• You definitely are Energetic, optimistic and imaginative!
• Strong (professional) communicator to interact with clients and across teams.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
