Job summary

Rabobank offers a work-based internship in Business Continuity Management with the BCM4CITO team. You will learn how to keep critical IT services reliable, resilient, and prepared while supporting day-to-day BCM activities and documentation.

During 3 to 6 months, you will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to exercises and reviews in a large IT organisation, with structured supervision and opportunities to learn by doing.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in an HBO/Uni study in IT, security or Business management.
• Interest in Business Continuity Management, risk or IT environments.
• Structured approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable with Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support BCM4CITO team with coordination, follow-up and day-to-day activities.
• Maintain and improve BCM documentation (plans, procedures, overviews).

You and your future

During this work experience internship at Rabobank, you will discover how Business Continuity Management helps a large bank stay reliable, resilient and prepared. You will work with the BCM4CITO team on activities that support continuity of critical IT services. You will learn how colleagues across the organisation work together to prepare for disruptions and improve recovery. In this internship, you will gain practical experience in a complex IT environment. You will support day-to-day work, help structure information and learn how clear documentation, careful follow-up and strong collaboration contribute to resilience.

In short:

• You support the BCM team with coordination, follow-up and day-to-day activities.
• You help maintain and improve BCM documentation, such as plans, procedures and overviews.
• You contribute to exercises, internal reviews, reporting and lessons learned.

Practical

• Length: 3 to 6 months.
• Starting date: September or later
• Hours per week: preferably 32 to 36 hours.

You & your role

As Business Continuity Management Intern, you know the secrets of keeping important work structured, clear and moving forward. You will support the BCM4CITO team in improving the structure, quality and consistency of BCM processes and deliverables. You will help track actions, deadlines and internal updates. You will also learn how Business Continuity Management is embedded in a large IT organisation and how different stakeholders work together. You will get room to learn by doing. Depending on your study assignment, you may also work on a small project or research topic. If your assignment involves a thesis or report, we will make clear agreements about confidentiality and the use of Rabobank information.
