Triodos Investment Management invites you to join the Energy Infrastructure Investment Team as an intern, supporting debt and equity transactions across Europe and helping deploy AI in the investment process.

You will work with industry experts sourcing, structuring, closing, and managing impactful investments, while learning in a hands-on, mission-driven environment at Triodos Bank.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a relevant field (Business Economics, Engineering, Law, Corporate Finance, Sustainability).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial analysis and valuation concepts.
• Fluency in English; Dutch/German/Spanish/French/Italian knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; no prior financial modeling knowledge required.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presenting.
• Affinity with AI applications to solve problems.
• Personal alignment with Triodos mission and values.

How you will make a difference

You will help us to ‘change finance to finance change’ by supporting the Investment Team on debt- and equity transactions. Additionally, you will support the rollout of our AI supported way of working.

In this role, you will be part of a unique impact investing team sourcing from multiple funds and mandates, from debt to equity, with a long-term focus. You will work with industry experts to source, structure, close, and manage impactful investments.

To be successful in this role:

• You support the Investment Team in sourcing, structuring, executing, and managing complex debt and equity transactions across Europe
• You support dealteams with financial modeling and financial economic analyses, due diligence work streams portfolio managing
• You assist in the preparation of investment proposals and portfolio management activities for the Investment Committee
• You support on the deployment of AI as a central tool in the investment process

• BA degree in a relevant field such as Business Economics, Engineering, Law, Corporate Finance, Sustainability, Social Sciences or Environmental sciences or a field which you deem to be relevant
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, specifically regarding financial analysis and valuation concepts
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages (Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Italian) is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Excel but no prior financial modeling knowledge is necessary
• Proficiency in MS Powerpoint and an affinity with presenting
• Affinity with application of AI to solve problems
• A personal connection with the mission and values of Triodos Bank and the capacity to translate them into activities
• Availability from 4 January - 30 June 2027
• Located in the Netherlands at the moment, is a required selection criterion
