Merck invites motivated third- or fourth-year HBO/WO students in Logistics or Supply Chain Management to join our CoE Import/Export team in the Netherlands. You will support EU import/export processes, learn regulatory basics and assist daily shipment reviews in a multinational pharma setting.

You will work alongside experts in regional trade, planning and compliance, gaining hands-on experience and room for initiative during a 6+ month internship at Haarlem.

Competenze

• Currently pursuing HBO or MSc studies in Logistics, Supply Chain or International Business.
• Energetic, curious and a communicator.
• Excellent research and analytic skills.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment.

Mansioni

• Collect, validate and document transportation and export documentation for shipments into and out of EMEA.
• Provide import instructions for incoming shipments and coordinate with brokers for clearance.
• Serve as a contact for shipping sites, forwarders and outsourced ops for routine import/export issues and advice.
• Support performance review meetings with LSPs and participate in periodic checks to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate routine import/export issues and complex matters to the Specialist or regional Trade Compliance lead.
• Ensure import/export activities follow local laws and regulatory requirements; consult Trade Compliance where necessary.
