Job summary

Beiersdorf NV in Amsterdam is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join the Benelux Customer Operations Team, starting December 2026 / January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across customer management, collaboration and logistics while supporting NL team and collaborating with cross-functional colleagues.

You will work full-time for six months, with two days remote option, and receive an internship allowance plus other benefits.

Qualifications

• Currently finishing a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required.
• Strong Excel skills and IT literacy.
• Analytical and proactive with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Daily order management and checking EDI reception with manual adjustments if needed.
• Act as main contact for the customer, ensuring clear communications on delivery changes.
• Coordinate execution with warehouse and transport partners to satisfy customers.
• Handle daily fire-fighting like delays or incorrect deliveries and resolve issues.
• Strive for high service level with planning and VAS teams to reduce stockouts.
• Investigate and resolve claims and complaints (over-deliveries, pricing issues).
• Streamline order management processes and implement simplifications.

Your Tasks

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join our Benelux Customer Operations Team starting in December 2026/January 2027. During your internship, you will get a deeper understanding of the entire responsibility of a Supply Chain Department. You will learn how a Supply Chain Department of an international company works and gain practical knowledge that will be extremely useful in your field in the future. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will mainly support the NL Customer Operations Team (responsible forCustomer Management, Customer Collaboration & Customer Logistics) to reach a truly customercentric mindset. You will equally work closely together with Demand & Supply Planning, Logistics,VAS, Quality, Finance & the Commercial Department. Close collaboration with the BE colleagues to share best practices & align ways of working will also be part of your tasks

Your responsibilities

• Daily order management - Our orders are received through EDI, but it will be your task to manage if they were received correctly and do manual adjustments when needed.
• Act as main contact for the customer - Ensure clear and standardized communication with our customer, exchanging information on delivery dates changes, out of stocks, among others.
• Coordinate execution with our warehouse and transport partners - Coordinate with our logistics partners to make sure we do what is needed to satisfy our customer.
• Daily fire-fighting - Unexpected things will happen, such as delivery delays or incorrect products getting delivered. It is your role to react and find the best solution to fix these.
• Strive for high service level - Together with our planning and VAS team, you will work to reduce our out-of-stocks by having timely orders, contributing to a high service level.
• Manage claims & complaints - Investigate and execute the needed steps to solve complaints, such as over-deliveries or incorrect pricing .
• Streamline processes - Simplification is key. You will be responsible to optimize our order management process.

Your Profile

• You are finishing your Master's degree in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management
• You are available for at least 6 months as of December 2026/January 2027 5 days a week (2 days of home office)
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge in Dutch is considered a plus, but is not mandatory
• You are interested in starting a career in FMCG
• You have strong Excel skills and are IT literate
• You have strong analytical skills
• You have a proactive and collaborative personality with strong communication and social skills
• You enjoy working cross functionally
• You are solution oriented, pragmatic, but with the right attention to details
