Job summary

SunLED Life Science is seeking an Interim Marketing & Communication Officer to drive our global digital marketing and coordinate with our PR team for media outreach.

Working in a small, international team, you will also update marketing materials as needed and help grow the business development pipeline to secure partnerships.

The role is 20–32 hours per week for 4–6 months, freelance or employed, based at Amsterdam Science Park.

Qualifications

• ~5 years of experience in marketing communication.
• Expertise on social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
• Strong skills in content creation (writing, editing, messaging).
• Experience in website improvement and management.
• Great organizational skills for managing multiple stakeholders.
• Language: English mandatory; Dutch optional.

Responsibilities

• Content & channel management across earned/owned/paid/social channels, including LinkedIn, website, and social platforms.
• Set up and manage LinkedIn campaigns to support thought leadership and lead generation.
• Website management and optimization of SunLED’s online presence.
• Coordinate with PR agents and align media relations with marketing and business priorities.

What are you going to do?

As Interim Marketing & Communication Officer for SunLED, you’ll focus on our digital marketing activities globally, and coordinate with our PR team on media outreach. As we are with a small team, your help might be occasionally wanted to update other marketing materials. Your work will enable the growth of our business development pipeline to secure partnerships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Content & channel management: Coordinate the content creation, and also create content yourself, across all earned/owned/paid/social channels including LinkedIn, website, social media, etc., in line with the overall SunLED content & channel strategy.
• Online campaigns: Set up and manage LinkedIn campaigns to support thought leadership positioning and lead generation.
• Website management: Refine SunLED’s web presence including website optimization and
• Media relations coordination: Act as day-to-day contact for our PR agents and ensure alignment between media relations activities and marketing/business priorities.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an open-minded, hands‑on marketer who loves creating clear communication and practical tools, and who enjoys collaborating with external parties such as marketing

You bring:

• ~5 years of experience in marketing communication, preferably in an international / B2B / complex technical environment
• Expertise on social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn
• Strong skills in content creation (writing, editing, messaging) and a good eye for quality
• Demonstrable experience in website improvement and management
• Great organizational skills: you can manage projects and deadlines with multiple (external) stakeholders
• Language: English (mandatory), Mandarin would be great, Dutch (nice to have)
• Education: BSc/BA in marketing/communication or similar (or equivalent experience)
