French Speaking Interim HR Generalist (6 months)

EMEA Recruitment is working with an international business in Amsterdam to hire a French speaking Interim HR Generalist.

As an Interim HR Generalist you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive people support services across designated regions, ensuring smooth execution of employee‑related processes and compliance with local employment standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline assistance to team members in Europe and France, addressing inquiries and ensuring consistent interpretation of HR guidelines.
• Manage the full lifecycle of HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding and departures, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and leave tracking.
• Ensure all HR practices adhere to local employment laws and regulations, working closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain up‑to‑date documentation and internal policies.
• Deliver responsive and thorough support through the internal HR helpdesk system, maintaining clear communication and prompt issue resolution.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English and French is required.
• Demonstrated expertise across a broad range of HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance strategy, organizational structuring, leadership capability building, workforce planning, succession strategy, and change enablement.
• Previous experience in a consumer‑facing industry is essential, with a strong background in designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives across multiple countries and supporting expansion efforts such as new location launches.
