HERMEQ BV in the Netherlands is hiring an Inside Sales & Key Account Manager to convert inbound demand into profitable sales and to grow key accounts across Benelux, DACH and the Nordics.
Based in Amsterdam, you will own enquiries, prepare quotations, manage accounts and build durable customer relationships. This is a hands-on role requiring strong Dutch and English, with a hybrid work setup and a focus on fast, reliable follow‑through.
HERMEQ supplies construction, infrastructure and site equipment to professional customers across Europe. Our range includes fencing, traffic management, scaffolding and working-at-height equipment, groundworks, access, lifting and site-safety products.
We are looking for an Inside Sales & Key Account Manager to convert incoming demand into profitable sales and build lasting customer relationships across Benelux, DACH and the Nordics.
Based in our Netherlands operation, you will help build the commercial team and improve how we handle enquiries, follow up opportunities and develop accounts.
Your role is to make it easy for customers to buy from HERMEQ and give them good reasons to come back.
You will take ownership of inbound enquiries, understand what customers need and follow quotations through to order. You will also manage a portfolio of accounts, build relationships with buyers and identify opportunities for repeat business and growth.
This is a hands-on commercial role. You will spend time speaking with customers, preparing offers, following up and resolving issues. Alongside your own sales and accounts, you will help the team work more effectively through clear priorities, useful customer information and consistent follow-through.
HERMEQ is a fun, ambitious and very fast-paced business. We are building the team while growing across several markets. You will need to move quickly, stay organised and take responsibility when something needs doing.
You will manage incoming enquiries by phone, email and through our websites. You will establish:
You will prepare accurate quotations, explain the offer clearly and follow up while the opportunity is active. With Buying and Supply Chain, you will confirm availability and delivery arrangements before making commitments.
You will understand why we win or lose business and use that knowledge to improve conversion, pricing and service.
You will become a reliable point of contact for your accounts, understanding their business, purchasing patterns and upcoming requirements.
You will follow up after initial orders, identify additional product needs and develop one-off buyers into repeat customers. For key accounts, you will agree clear actions to retain and grow the relationship.
You will also contact existing or inactive customers where there is a relevant opportunity. Relationship management means staying in touch with a purpose and bringing customers something useful.
When an issue arises, you will coordinate with the right colleagues, keep the customer informed and follow it through to resolution.
You will keep customer records, quotations and next steps current in our CRM, so opportunities have a clear owner and nothing is left without follow-up.
You will help improve enquiry handling, quotation templates, account handovers and everyday sales processes. Where simple automation can save time, you will help put it into practice.
You will share product and customer knowledge, support new colleagues and help establish consistent ways of working as the team grows.
With Marketing and Catalogue, you will highlight recurring customer questions, missing product information and opportunities to improve the enquiries we generate.
You will work towards agreed targets covering:
Success also means a stronger team: clear ownership, useful information and fewer opportunities lost between enquiry, quotation and delivery.
You bring commercial judgement, energy and a genuine interest in customers. You enjoy winning orders and building relationships, and you understand that good service and good sales support each other.
Your background may be in inside sales, account management or a customer success role with clear responsibility for revenue, retention and growth. Experience with physical products, construction, equipment or industrial customers would be useful.
You will also need:
You are comfortable working towards targets, taking ownership and adapting when priorities change. You bring structure while keeping decisions and customer opportunities moving.
You will join a growing international business where your contribution is visible and good ideas can quickly become part of how we work.
We offer room to take ownership, develop accounts and help shape the commercial team. You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Buying, Catalogue, Marketing and Supply Chain.
The role offers hybrid flexibility, with the emphasis on working from our Netherlands office. We are building a team and a business together. Being in the office helps us learn faster, share knowledge and solve customer issues quickly.
We work hard, enjoy what we do and value colleagues who bring energy, humour and reliable follow-through.
The objective is simple:
