Job summary

The European Investment Bank (EIB) invites applications for an Associate Sector Specialist - Innovative Transport Technologies Deployment, based at its Luxembourg headquarters. This full-time position offers relocation support and a three-year contract, with regular office presence and panel interviews anticipated in November.

You will join the Projects Directorate, Mobility Department, and contribute to analytical capacity on transport innovation, decarbonisation, and supply chain risk.

Qualifications

• University degree (Bachelor level or equivalent), preferably in engineering or economics.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in innovative transport projects.
• Interest in innovative transport technologies, logistics and shipping decarbonisation.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly in an appraisal context.
• Experience in other division sectors is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity and supply chain risk considerations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project appraisal and monitoring with research and data analysis.
• Assist in assessing project rationale and alignment with policy objectives in shipping and other sectors.
• Support due diligence activities and engagement with project promoters.
• Contribute to sector papers and represent the EIB at sector events.
