Levy Global is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer - Payments in Amsterdam to ensure stability and reliability of payment platforms and infrastructure. You will join a critical IT Operations team handling incident management, production support, release coordination, and network operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with ITIL processes, major incident management, and strong networking knowledge.

Formación

• Proven experience working within payments environments.
• Hands-on IT Operations, Production, Incident, Release and Change management experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, routing, load balancers).
• Experience managing major incidents and coordinating service restoration.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple technical teams under pressure.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

At Levy Global, we are looking for an experienced IT Operations Engineer - Payments to join one of our leading banking clients in Amsterdam.

You will be part of a critical IT Operations team responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and reliability of business-critical payment platforms and infrastructure.

This role combines incident management, production support, release coordination, network operations, and IT compliance. You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and rapid resolution of production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and proactively identify potential service disruptions.
• Coordinate the resolution of incidents and major incidents across multiple teams.
• Lead incident response activities, ensuring timely service restoration and stakeholder communication.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Release & Change Management

• Coordinate application and infrastructure releases across development, operations, and business teams.
• Ensure production readiness and compliance with established change management procedures.
• Manage release communications, deployment activities, and rollback coordination when required.

Infrastructure & Network Operations

• Monitor infrastructure and network availability, performance, and capacity.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of network-related incidents with internal teams and external providers.
• Support network maintenance, upgrades, and operational improvements.
• Ensure operational activities align with IT risk, security, and compliance standards.
• Support audits, operational controls, and risk remediation activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track operational risks through to resolution.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working within payments environments is mandatory.
• Strong background in IT Operations, Production Support, Application Support, SRE, or Infrastructure Support.
• Experience managing major incidents and coordinating service restoration in business-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience with ITIL processes, incident management, release management, and change management.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and load balancers.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple technical teams and make decisions under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Previous experience supporting payment platforms within a large financial institution.
• Knowledge of IT risk, security, and regulatory compliance within banking.
• Experience working in complex, international enterprise environments.
