Job summary

Thales Group in Hengelo, Netherlands, seeks a Solution Architect for the SID squad within the IS/IT Business Applications domain. You will drive digitalisation, standardisation and modernisation, focusing on integrations, Industry 4.0 solutions and designing robust architectures with Mendix and ServiceNow.

You will lead architectural decisions, collaborate across business and IT, and ensure alignment with enterprise direction. Strong communication in Dutch and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• Experience with API architecture and integration patterns.
• Application design and solutioning.
• Integration technologies such as SOAP, REST and Kafka.
• Basic networking and security concepts.
• Modelling (e.g. ArchiMate).
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand processes and needs.
• Translate business questions into future-proof IS/IT solutions.
• Design application, data and integration architectures using ArchiMate.
• Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives and implement integrated solutions across IoT, networks and RPA.
• Collaborate with Lead Engineers to shape the squad’s technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with other architects and international teams to share best practices.
• Deliver solutions that help users work more efficiently.
