Job summary

Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V. in Waddinxveen is seeking an Import & Customs Specialist to ensure compliance with EU customs and phytosanitary rules, file declarations and coordinate with suppliers, authorities and logistics partners.

You will work closely with the logistics, procurement and supplier management teams, supporting a smooth flow of incoming shipments and improving customs processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• HBO/MBO level education with strong administrative or logistics basis.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
• Experience with customs procedures and cross-border logistics.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-changing international environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage relations with authorities and conduct audits.
• Ensure EU customs and phytosanitary compliance.
• File customs declarations for Fresh Solutions NL.
• Support KCB applications and inspections planning.
• Coordinate seasonal shipment flow from supplier to warehouse.
• Create and maintain department work instructions.
• Drive process improvements and harmonize procedures.
• Serve as main contact for external relations.

Your role as Import & Customs Specialist

FSNL Import & Customs department works supportive to the Fesh Solutions organization and departments to guarantee a smooth process for all incoming shipments. You will pro-actively collaborate closely with colleagues in logistics, procurement and supplier management, with Dutch authorities like Customs and KCB and with our logistic service provider(s), transport companies and vessel companies. Furthermore, FSNL is in the process of filing its own customs declarations using the application Fiton. For this purpose, a completed training course as a (junior) declarant is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relations with authorities, including audits.
• Ensure compliance with EU Customs and phytosanitary legislation.
• File customs declarations for Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V.
• Support in KCB applications and planning for physical inspections.
• Follow and manage the entire seasonal flow of shipments from supplier to our warehouse in Waddinxveen.
• Make and maintain work instructions for the department.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and harmonize processes across Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V.
• Act as point of contact for our relations, ensuring clear communication and strong collaboration.

What You Bring

• HBO or MBO work and thinking level
• Proficiency in MS Office®, experience with SAP and data structures like BI tools.
• Proactive, hands-on, and flexible mindset; able to adapt quickly in a fast-changing digital, product and logistic environment.
• Fluency in Dutch, with excellent English; German is a plus.
• Team orientated and internationally minded – not a "9 to 5" mentality, but a someone who thrives in an evolving, cross-border business.
• Experience with Customs and logistical procedures, or willing to learn.
