The function
As an ICT Support Assistant, you and your colleagues are the first point of contact for our employees and students. You are responsible for handling all ICT-related questions. You analyze the help requests and try to solve them as independently as possible. Where this is not possible, you will contact Functional Management or a supplier. You will work at the locations of Alkmaar and Heerhugowaard, but we expect colleagues to be flexible and available at all our locations where we offer ICT Support; Alkmaar, Heerhugowaard, Hoorn, Purmerend and Zaandam.
The activities you can expect on a daily basis:
Ensuring the appropriate and friendly resolution of user issues;
providing ICT support, both by phone and via email, at the counter and via remote support;
advising on ICT malfunctions, incidents and problems;
Communicate with the management department or external supplier if the problem cannot be resolved immediately;
updating reported incidents in TOPdesk;
monitoring the progress of the reported incidents;
installing and configuring new hardware and/or software on the workplace;
delivering and taking over hardware;
process mutations in the CMDB;
carrying out various on-site activities at the various branches of Talland College;
critically examining the processes and contributing to improvements;
functioning as a backup when there is no ICT support staff present at another location;
responsible for implementing the ITIL processes Incident Management, Problem Management and Knowledge Management;
good cooperation with other supporting departments such as the Facilities Department and Educational Facilities;
the mentoring of interns.
About the Team
The ICT Support team consists of 11 employees who are responsible for providing first-line support for all ICT facilities. In this role, you work together with the ICT Support team leader and functional administrators. In addition, ICT Support is an Accredited Learning Company and the team is supplemented with interns from the in-house ICT training program.
Your profile
You hold a completed ICT training at MBO level 3 or 4;
ITIL certification is a plus;
You have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar position;
Knowledge of TOPdesk is a plus;
analytical thinking skills;
skill in transferring knowledge to users;
Strong communication skills and a flexible attitude;
customer-friendly and empathetic abilities;
Can work independently and in teams.
