The function
Civic engagement teacher, career coach (possibly vocational courses) 0.4-0.6 FTE
For our MBO programs in Aviation Services, Tourism, Leisure & Events, we are looking for a Citizenship teacher. As a Citizenship teacher, you contribute to the development of students into independent, engaged and responsible professionals. You know how to connect societal themes in a captivating and practical way to the lived experience of our students. Additionally, you have an eye for the quality and proper implementation of the education and examination process within the MBO.
What are you going to do:
Providing Citizenship lessons to MBO students in the tourism sector level 3 & 4.
Developing teaching material that aligns with the practice of the tourism industry and incorporates the MBO developments in it.
To guide and coach students in their learning process.
Creating a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
Monitoring of study progress and conducting progress discussions.
Collaborating with colleagues within the education team and vocational training.
Being a career coach for a second-year Leisure class (about 10 students).
Director examination 0.2 FTE
In addition to the Citizenship classes, you are also responsible for the examination management area. The examination manager ensures that all exams are prepared, organized, and conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, exam regulations, and internal procedures.
The main activities are:
Preparing and monitoring the exam schedule and the exam schedule.
Organizing and coordinating written, digital, and oral exams.
Ensuring the correct preparation and distribution of exam material.
Inform students/pupils, teachers, supervisors and other involved parties about exams and procedures.
Monitoring compliance with the exam regulations and applicable guidelines.
Reporting and handling of details, incidents and irregularities related to exams.
Monitoring deadlines related to graduation, results and certification.
Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of the exam process.

Your profile
You hold a relevant educational qualification in Citizenship;
You have experience in delivering Citizenship lessons within the MBO;
You have demonstrable experience in supervising MBO students;
Experience in or knowledge of the tourism industry is an advantage;
You are strong at communication, engaged, and student-focused.;
You have experience with examination processes;
You are a team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing ideas.
