Job summary

Levy Professionals is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for Identity & Access Management (workforce IAM) in a large Dutch financial services organization. You translate complex goals into actionable designs that engineering can build and align them with the product owner.

You will work across IAM domains, be the sparring partner for business, developers and the product owner, and ensure the team delivers clear requirements and quality designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in a relevant field.

Senior Business Analyst, Identity & Access Management (workforce IAM)

Where you'd land

A large financial services organisation in the Netherlands is strengthening the team that owns identity and access for its own workforce. Everything that decides who gets access to what, from the first day someone joins to the day their last account is closed, runs through this team. Tens of thousands of colleagues depend on it working, and so does the security of everything sitting behind the login.

You'd be the senior BA in a product team that sits between the business and engineering. The product owner sets direction, you turn that into designs the engineers can actually build.

What you'd do

• Take high level, complicated goals and turn them into a solution design and blueprint, then get it aligned with the product owner, the engineering teams and the stakeholders around them.
• Work across domains. The IAM problems worth solving rarely stop at one system boundary.
• Plan and organise your own work within the department's objectives. Nobody hands you a task list.
• Be the sparring partner for the business, the developers and the product owner, and keep the engineering team supplied with the detail they need to build the right thing.
• Watch the quality of what the other business analysts deliver and help them raise it.
• Follow where the IAM market and the tooling are going, and put that back into your designs.

What they ask

Academic level of thinking and working, with a bachelor's or master's in a relevant field. CISSP. Real implementation experience with the protocols this world runs on for authentication, authorisation, provisioning and single sign on: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, bearer tokens, Kerberos/NTLM, LDAP authentication and SCIM. A broad working understanding of what IAM tooling can and can't do, so you can match a requirement to a capability instead of promising something the product doesn't have. Requirements analysis at expert level. Strong writing, because most of what you produce is a document somebody else builds from. English is the working language.

You'll also need to be willing to say the current way of working or the current tooling isn't good enough, and back it up.
