Shelby Transportation seeks an Equipment Operator I & I to support sewer system I&I activities in the department. The role involves field operations, data handling, and inspection work, with potential emergency response outside normal hours.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain within 12 months), and relevant licenses/certifications within stated timeframes.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience in underground utilities or related work is desirable.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collection license within 18 months of hire.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, NASSCO PACP, MACP, and LACP certification within 18 months of hire.
• The City may consider a combination of education, certifications, training, and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs field operations and technical/data-related duties in I&I. May emphasize field crew work, computerized inspection and records, or a mix based on needs.
• Supports I&I activities and may respond to emergency repairs outside normal hours.
• Develops skills to support the full range of I&I tasks beyond routine field or office work.

Conocimientos

CDL Class B with tanker endorsement

Experience in underground utilities

Educación

Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collection license

NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certification
