Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd invites applications for a Civils Project Manager to lead a major hyperscale data centre project in the Netherlands. You will manage the civil works on a complex, high-value site, ensuring delivery on time, to budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.

The role requires proven civil project management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to operate across substructure and superstructure packages.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS; Temporary Works Coordinator experience is advantageous.
• Construction-related degree or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience managing major construction projects, ideally within data centres, industrial, commercial or other technically complex environments.
• Demonstrable experience working on substructure and superstructure packages, particularly concrete / RC frame structures and basements.
• Strong man-management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, costs, contracts and methodologies.
• Highly organised, motivated and detail-oriented.
• A self-starter who can work independently and use their own initiative while also operating effectively within a wider project team.
• Comfortable working to demanding programmes and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project in a highly detailed and structured manner, ensuring deliverables are scheduled effectively and costs are accurately estimated.
• Prepare and negotiate project agreements, ensuring all parties understand the scope, responsibilities and contractual limitations.
• Obtain all relevant project permits and licences and ensure safety and environmental requirements are maintained to an exceptionally high standard.
• Oversee all aspects of on-site construction, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the construction programme, on budget and on time.
• Effectively manage and lead the site team, maintaining a highly organised and productive working environment.
• Develop, produce and implement health & safety documentation and project method statements.
• Provide accurate project reporting, monitor costs and identify and highlight any exceptions or potential issues.
• Act as Temporary Works Coordinator, coordinating temporary works designs and issuing the relevant permits.
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain high standards of quality, programme control, commercial awareness and project delivery.
