Haskoning is offering a four-month internship in Arnhem, Netherlands, focused on validating a wind, waves and ocean coupled model within WHAM. You will handle offshore MetOcean datasets, develop Python workflows for quality control and model validation, and compare outputs with measurements to assess performance under normal and extreme conditions.

Qualificações

• You are enrolled in an MSc programme in wind energy, meteorology, oceanography, civil engineering, applied physics, data science or a related field.
• You have experience with Python for data analysis and visualisation.
• You can communicate professionally in English, both in writing and in conversation.
• You are available for at least four months and can start as soon as possible.

Responsabilidades

• Select, assess and prepare offshore wind and MetOcean measurement datasets.
• Develop or improve Python workflows for quality control, model validation and visualisation.
• Compare model output with observations of wind, waves, currents and water levels.
• Assess performance across normal, extreme and operationally relevant conditions.
• Summarise the results and their practical value for offshore wind projects.
