Artefact in Utrecht is seeking an ambitious Forward Deployed Engineer to join our tech team. Depending on your background, you’ll work on Data Platform and AI/LLM applications, building robust data pipelines and deploying LLM-based solutions.

You’ll collaborate with clients, write clean Python and SQL, and translate business needs into production-ready solutions. We value English fluency, a Master’s in CS or Engineering, and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Data Engineer/AI Engineer roles.
• Strong Python and SQL, with production-quality code.
• Familiar with ETL/ELT principles and/or LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks).
• Fluent English; Dutch or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines.
• Architect end-to-end data platforms with robust data models.
• Design and deploy LLM-based solutions and evaluate new AI tools.
• Work with clients to translate business needs into production-ready solutions.
• Communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
