Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Amsterdam is seeking an Infrastructure Developer to build the core of our Unified Platform. You will design, develop, and integrate services and APIs that power our configurable cloud platform.

You’ll bridge public cloud and on‑prem environments, embrace IaC with Terraform or Pulumi, and drive CI/CD, security, and reliability while delivering a self‑service experience to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Go or Python for building APIs, services, and automation.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of API design principles (REST, gRPC).
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks and standards.
• Experience in building infrastructure platforms (DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering).
• Experience with on-premises environments, virtualization, networking, server hardware.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix.
• Security-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build the Unified Platform: Design, develop and integrate the core services, APIs, and automation that power our internal cloud platform.
• Abstract Hybrid Complexity: Create a seamless experience by engineering solutions that bridge our public cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform or Pulumi to declaratively manage the underlying resources.
• Deliver with CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployment of the platform.
• Focus on the Customer: Collaborate with other teams to translate customer needs into robust platform features.
• Ensure Platform Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve issues to guarantee high availability; participate in on-call rotation.
