Job summary

Check is seeking a Hub Manager to own all operations in your city, ensuring the fleet is charged, well-presented, and ready for the next ride. You’ll lead a small team and solve daily logistical challenges in a fast-paced scale-up.

You’ll analyze metrics to improve efficiency, coach riders and mechanics, and maintain safety and inventory while supporting Check’s expansion into new mobility solutions across the city.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in operations or logistics.
• Previous team management experience is a big plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced scale-up.
• Data-informed mindset with ability to use metrics.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Holding a valid Category B driver's license.

• Maximize moped fleet availability and manage battery swaps and repairs.

But behind every smooth ride on the street is a high functioning operation and that’s where you come in. As a Hub Manager, you are the operational engine of your city. You make sure our core fleet of mopeds stays fully charged, looks sharp, and is ready for the next ride. As Check continues to scale, our hubs will evolve.

The role.

As Hub Manager, you’re fully in charge of everything that happens in and around your Hub. No two days are the same. One moment you’re analyzing operational metrics to optimize efficiency, and the next you’re on the floor coaching your team or tackling a quick logistical puzzle.

Your main focus areas:

• Team leadership: Build, schedule, and inspire a tight-knit team of Hub Riders and Mechanics. You keep energy high and support them in delivering their best every day.
• Fleet availability: Maximize moped availability across the city. Swapping batteries, scheduling repairs, and handling damages efficiently is your main sport.
• Process optimization: Track operational KPIs (like repair turnarounds and fleet uptime) to make the Hub smarter and faster. As Check expands into new mobility solutions, you'll help adapt hub operations for future fleet additions.
• Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure tools, spare parts, and inventory are always stocked and accounted for.

Requirements.

You’re a natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up environment. You like getting things done, think in solutions, and are excited about the future of shared mobility.

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in an operational or logistical role (e.g., operations, logistics, retail, or hospitality). Previous team management experience is a big plus.
• Hands-on: Fast-paced environments don't intimidate you, and you're always ready to roll up your sleeves when needed.
• Growth mindset: You're flexible and energized by change, ready to adapt processes as our product mix grows.
• Data-informed: You understand the value of metrics and use operational data to make solid decisions.
• Great communicator: Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Driver's license: You hold a valid Category B driver's license.
