Job summary

Fastned is seeking an Health, Safety & Environment Officer for the Netherlands & Belgium. You will lead safety culture and training initiatives across our markets, ensuring on-site HSE execution and continuous improvement.

You will own HSE communications, drive awareness campaigns, coordinate incident management, and collaborate with field operations and leadership to keep sites safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an HSE position.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and safety standards relevant to NL/BE.
• Strong incident investigation skills.
• Proficient with data and dashboards to monitor performance.
• Fluency in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Own the HSE Culture & Training pillar across all markets.
• Lead HSE communication and awareness strategy for the entire department.
• Design campaigns and initiatives that keep HSE top of mind.
• Translate complex safety requirements into clear messages for diverse audiences.
• Build a calendar of awareness activities across markets.
• Act as editorial owner of HSE communications across the organisation.
• Coordinate incident reporting and follow-up actions at site level.
• Monitor incident trends and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Ensure HSE documentation is complete and up to date.
• Share learnings across markets and support cross-country initiatives.
