Job summary

Fastned is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Officer to support the Netherlands and Belgium. You will act as the on-the-ground HSE representative for NL & BE, ensuring safety across construction sites, stations and offices with hands-on incident management, training and compliance.

You will also own the HSE Culture and Training pillar across all markets, making safety visible and engaging company-wide through campaigns and communications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE position.
• Knowledge of Netherlands/Belgium HSE legislation (e.g. working at height, road safety, contractor safety).
• Strong incident investigation and corrective-action skills.
• Ability to travel frequently between locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Fluent English and Dutch communication.

Responsibilities

• Own HSE Culture & Training pillar for the entire HSE department across all markets.
• Lead HSE communication strategy for NL, BE and other markets.
• Deliver campaigns, safety moments and lessons learned sessions.
• Provide toolbox talks and on-site HSE support to internal teams and contractors.
• Coordinate incident reporting and root-cause analyses.
