Job summary

Fastned in Amsterdam seeks an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Officer to lead HSE culture and training across the Netherlands and Belgium. You will coordinate communications, campaigns and awareness initiatives while ensuring field teams and contractors stay safe and compliant.

You will report to the Head of HSE, collaborate with engineers, and drive continuous improvement through data and dashboards. Fluency in English and Dutch is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE position.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Experience with incident investigation and corrective actions.
• Comfortable using data and dashboards to monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the HSE Culture & Training pillar across NL & BE.
• Lead and drive the HSE communication strategy across markets.
• Design and deliver campaigns and communications on HSE topics.
• Translate complex safety requirements into clear messages for diverse audiences.
• Build a calendar of awareness activities and coordinate delivery across markets.
• Act as editorial owner of HSE internal communications.
• Collect feedback and continuously improve communication effectiveness.
