Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Team Lead HR Operations 1st line in the Netherlands to lead the HR Service Desk, improve SLA performance and backlogs, and drive continuous improvement within the global HR operating model.

You will manage a 16-strong team across NL/UK/ES/ME/DE, monitor KPIs, coach staff, and partner with HR functions to ensure accurate, timely HR services for the EMEA region in a hybrid 3 days office arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in an international environment and operating within a Service Delivery Model.
• Relevant experience in HR Operations or HR Service Desk.
• Strong people leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Experience in a global or matrix organization is preferred.
• Solid understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle.
• Customer-focused with a strong service mindset.
• Analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Service Agents to deliver high-quality support.
• Set performance expectations and monitor team KPIs (SLA, quality, satisfaction).
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning.
• Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture and be escalation point for complex cases.
• Support workforce planning, scheduling, and workload distribution.
• Deliver HR services in line with processes and SLAs; ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Translate insights into actions to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Drive process improvements and maintain knowledge base documentation.
• Monitor performance with dashboards and report to management.
• Collaborate with HR Partners and Functions as key interface.
