Job summary

KARL LAGERFELD is offering an HR Operations internship based at our Amsterdam HQ, supporting payroll, onboarding and HR projects across 12 countries in EMEA. You will join a team of specialists and work on administration, employee files and internal communications while learning day-to-day HR operations in a global luxury brand.

You must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor or Master program for the full 6-month duration, be available for 40 hours per week on-site in Amsterdam, and fluent in

The Role

As an HR Operations intern you will provide support in day-to‑day tasks within the HR Department, for our HQ in Amsterdam and Paris as well as Retail and Wholesale store employees across 12 countries in EMEA. You will support the HR Operations team with the administration, payroll processes and HR projects. The HR Operations & Payroll team consists of a Senior Manager, five HR Operations Specialists, and three Payroll Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the HR Team with new hire and leaver administration: drafting employment agreements, maintaining employee files, creation of official documents and maintaining HR database and files.
• Be responsible for our HQ Intern population life cycle: onboarding and offboarding, be their first point of contact, discuss any relevant topics with them, the schools or their managers.
• First contact person for the employees and stores within the HR department.
• Support with processes such as preparing payroll administration, NS cards applications, etc.
• Support in the implementation of change initiatives and HR Projects.
• Handle internal and external mail and give proper follow‑up.
• Dealing with confidential information.

Skills, Education & Experience

• Need to be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor/Master program during the entire internship period, preferably within Human Resources, Applied Sciences, (International) Business Management or Administration or related fields.
• Strong experience working with Microsoft Office.
• Are available for 40 hours a week – On‑site – Amsterdam office.
• Language: fluent in English, any other language is an advantage.
