Job summary

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, a Hyatt Hotels brand, is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader who can guide a vibrant room attendants team in a five-star luxury setting in central Amsterdam.

You'll supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensure brand standards, train and motivate staff, and balance guest care with efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English and Dutch preferred; Opera/HotSos knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Rooms department, ideally in a similar position.
• Good English, preferably Dutch as well.
• Team player, encouraging, energetic and communicative.
• Knowledge of Opera and HotSos is welcome; ability to use Word and Excel.
• Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands (EU/EEA passport or valid permit).
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience.

What does the ROLE entail?

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the Housekeeping team;
• Ensuring team delivers the brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times;
• Examining all guest rooms, to ensure they are cleaned in accordance to the hotel’s standards;
• Ensuring all linens are handled and processed according to their priority and standards;
• Conducting briefings on room occupancy, daily events, and special attention that may be needed;
• Maximizing employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling, to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests;
• Overseeing the punctuality and appearance of the team, ensuring they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, as per Hotel’s standards;
• Maximizing the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring;

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Rooms department, ideally in a similar position within a Hotel;
• Good communication skills in English and, preferably, in Dutch as well;
• You love being part of a big team, being encouraging, motivating and energetic;
• Knowledge of Opera and HotSos is welcome, as well as ability to work with Word and Excel;
• You are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
• You love the world of hospitality, with all its quirks and excitement!
