Job summary

Soho House Amsterdam is seeking a Host to greet guests, answer calls, and manage reservations for the House Kitchen. You will support the floor team and ensure a warm welcome from arrival to departure. The role requires strong English and Dutch communication, 1–2 years in a similar role, and flexibility for opening/closing shifts.

Qualifications

Must have 1-2 years experience in a similar role and handling high-volume phone lines with professional inquiries.
Problem solving skills and conflict resolution experience.
Reliable, representative, positive and enthusiastic.
Experience with OpenTable and MICROS.
Basic knowledge of InDesign.
Flexible and available for both opening and closing shifts.
Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
Preference for full-time or 3–4 day part-time availability.

Responsibilities

The Role

At Soho House a Host is one of the first point of contacts for members guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. As a Host, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for the House Kitchen. You will also deliver excellent service from initial greeting and seating members and supporting with the floor team where needed. The Host, has acute organizational and people skills which often in infectious and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up until their departure.

What We Are Looking For

Must have 1-2 years experience in a smilar role and answering high-volume phone lines and answering inquiries professionally and timely
Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution
Reliable, representative, positive and enthusiastic
OpenTable and MICROS experience
Basic InDesign knowledge
Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts
Strong communication skills in English and Dutch
Strong preference for Full-time or Part-time (3/4 days at least) availiblity
